Can't see that many advantages over my first Fold to upgrade that I bought last December. The hinge is still perfect and no issues with the screens at all. Might wait until next year for Fold 3 :-)
@Christopher Dones Thanks, they do have good trade-in but I will still lose a lot of money as my Z is only 10 months old and as good as new.
I read Samsung has one of the best trade in programs, might be worth the upgrade!

I appreciate what samsung is upto. The aspect ratio needs to be changed according to my opinion. And, I don't like the small display on the outer side. Maybe time comes up with better ideas. I really like the Huawei's mate x. It's less complicated device with way simpler design. The only problem is that when folded, screen at the back may get scratches

We all absolutely hate Samsung. Nowadays, in order to survive in the competitive market with Xiaomi, Realme, and Oppo, Samsung is giving very negligible quality hardware on budget and mid-range phones. In addition to the flagship phones, the processor is also different. They are giving good processors in their own country and in other countries they are giving their own bad, weak Exynos processors. Because of their contradictions, we should be united around the world and refrain from buying all kinds of phones made by them as long as they keep themselves away from this contradictory behavior.

The front screen should be atleast 90hz. Now you just see the difference of 60hz and 120hz and front screen feels bad

What this device says about Samsung is what people get wrong about the company. They look at Apple as innovators and Samsung as copycats. That was then, this is now. The bleeding edge technologies these devices along the the Note 20 Ultra emphatically says Samsung is so far ahead of the pack, it's a shame that they don't get the credit for it.

My Galaxy Fold broke after 5 days and is broke since many months. I got it on the 4th of February 2020. Inner Screen broke 9th February. My nails edge on my thumb touched it lightly while i was putting it down opened up. Applied 0 pressure. Horrible design. Worst phone i ever had. In the box Samsung had a paper that said, they fix inside screen for about 150 USD, if it brakes in 1 year from purchase. Took it to Samsung service. Samsung told me that the contract (which you can find online after scanning the QR code on that paper in the box of the phone, than about 10 clicks on there webside, and what i never seen) say that it applies only for Galaxy Folds brought from certain retailers. I did not buy mine from these certain retailers, so they can only fix it for about 700 USD. Horrible way for a company to handle a brand loyal customer like me. And also giving fals security with a paper in the box. What a scam... Mailed and called several times, contacted Samsung many ways, exchanged many mails. Phone is still today sitting broken on my desk. Samsung respond's super slow if, at all, and ask for papers i already supplied. Not paying 700 USD more to them for sure... Probably the last Samsung product i bought.
If i had settled for the Exynos Note 20, only to find out ALL Z Fold 2s have the Snapdragon processor, i would be raging.

I'm too concerned about the screen on the inside. I don't hear anything about 'self healing plastic' from Samsung so maybe that was just a rumour. I don't want to be able to scratch my screen by accident with my own finger nail. Not when it's £1800 lol. Anyone else concerned?

25:9 aspect ratio on the front screen? Noooo! Just when I thought 21:9 was the tallest screen I had to worry about for the mobile game I'm working on. 😂 Not that many people will be getting this because of the huge price nor would most probably play games with the front screen anyways. Still, apps have to work with any aspect ratios from 4:3 to 25:9 now to account for tablets, this ridiculously tall screen and anything in between. These are nightmare times for UI designers.
